Wedding videography in the Hunter Valley is an amazing experience because the Hunter Valley is the perfect backdrop for our happy couples. The operative word is ‘backdrop’ because our couples are always front and centre of their wedding films, however, at Marry Me Movies, we have a knack for weaving the exquisite background into each story.
The Hunter Valley is renowned for its exquisite wines and breathtaking winery estates. Many of these estates double up as ceremony and reception venues as well. No wonder it’s such a popular location for destination weddings!
We’ve been fortunate to film at some of these estates, and to understand why the Hunter Valley is a wedding videographer’s dream, you need only view some of our videos. The expansive scenery is beyond spectacular! It’s so expansive in fact, that many couples opt for aerial drone cinematography with their package, to allow for magnificent, panoramic views.
As well as aerial drone cinematography, the Hunter Valley is the perfect place for incorporating time-lapse videography. There’s nothing quite like watching the changing face of a Hunter Valley Winery, with its splendid colours blooming bright and then slowly dimming and darkening into the night.
The Hunter Valley is filled with beautiful wedding ceremony and reception locations that are ideal for wedding videography. Here are just a few.
Estate Tuscany is a 26 acre estate located at the foothills of the Brokenback ranges in Pokolbin, Hunter Valley. As the name suggests, the winery has a Tuscan-style feel, which flows throughout their reception venue and accommodation.
In Rebecca and James’s wedding video, we weaved the jaw-dropping scenery into their wedding day story, capitalising on the magnificent mountain views.

Lindemans and Peppers Creek Barrel Room is another winery and Hunter Valley reception venue that offers a feast of idyllic wedding videography moments. You can savour the beauty of the landscape while watching Sumaiya & Shanuka’s wedding film, or by viewing the still shots, below.

Marry Me Movies did such an amazing job with our wedding video, we couldn't have asked for anything better. They worked really well with our photographer on the day, and I still don't know how they managed to get some of the shots that they did. I would highly recommend them to anyone!
Wynwood Estate is one of the oldest vineyards in the Hunter Valley, and as we all know, age is a sought-after commodity when it comes to wines! It’s certainly a standout quality for this popular, established winery.
For Amy & Joel, we enjoyed interlacing the thriving vines and flourishing greenery into their wedding film.
The below vineyards offer tantalising Hunter Valley wedding videography moments. We’ve summarised a few characteristics of each winery.
As well as being nestled within a stunning Hunter Valley vineyard, Peterson House offers an architecturally designed sandstone building for wedding receptions. Your wedding ceremony can take place in the gardens at any time of year, whether it’s amidst the cherry blossoms in spring, near the thriving vineyards in summer or within the blooming gardens in autumn and winter.
There’s nothing like charming, historical, character-filled building to get a Hunter Valley wedding videographer excited!
The Convent is a beautiful hotel, steeped in history. It was originally built in 1909 and was once home to the Brigidine Order of nuns in Coonamble, central NSW. It was carefully and meticulously reconstructed, and now sits proudly in the delightful gardens of the Pepper Tree complex.
A short stroll from The Convent is Circa 1876, a hatted restaurant, which is located in a historic cottage on the grounds of Roscrea Estate, and which is a gorgeous venue for wedding receptions.

Aside from the stunningly vast estates with their threading vines and vivid greenery, all the Hunter Valley reception venue buildings offer their own characteristic charm. Hope Estate is no exception, with their Great Cask Hall offering a truly unique allure. It’s even featured on the television show Farmer Wants A Wife. Whether inside or out, as wedding videographers, we capture the beauty of every setting.
Wandin Valley Estate is set on 100 glorious acres set amongst their extensive vineyards, pristine lawns and natural bushland. Wedding ceremonies can take place in The Barn, The Eucalypt Grove and The Pontoon.

I cannot thank the team at Marry Me Movies more for their amazing work, kindness and consideration, and their extreme professionalism. Our video is sublime and has made me the envy of all my recently married friends who didn't use Marry Me Movies! Our cinematographer was unobtrusive, worked seamlessly with our photographer, and integrated into our reception so well people thought he was a guest! I would recommend Chris and the team to anyone and everyone, and I know that I'll be watching my video back for years to come. Thanks guys :)
