Couple: Simone & Trent
Date: 14th March, 2015
Location: Central Coast, NSW
Venue: Bells at Killcare
Wedding cinematography doesn't get much better than this. The NSW Central Coast, bathed in warm sunlight, was the perfect backdrop for the marriage of Simone and Trent. The wedding took place at Our Lady Star of the Sea, Terrigal; while the reception venue was the divine Bells at Killcare, in Killcare Heights.
We took great delight in capturing the bride-to-be and her bridal party preparing for the big event. The ladies had their hair and make-up applied, taking time out to enjoy some champagne in their matching floral bathrobes. Meanwhile, one lucky Page Boy relished the opportunity to put together a Lego car!
Our second wedding videographer took equal delight in capturing the groom and his crew preparing for the wedding ceremony. The mood was light as they donned their suits, opened some coronas and enjoyed some laughs.
We were honoured to capture Simone & Trent's wedding ceremony at Our Lady Star of the Sea. The church lends itself to stunning cinematic moments: the vivid white cross atop the tawny bricks, the stained glass windows, and the candles burning and flickering – almost jumping in anticipation.
Simone dazzled and sparkled as she walked down the aisle, and that was just her smile! Trent was in awe of his beautiful bride, and together, emotionally, they enjoyed every moment of their ceremony.
When the ceremony was over, we unobtrusively captured a candid moment … Simone and Trent sharing their first private kiss as husband and wife. As eagle-eyed wedding cinematographers, we are always on the lookout for these spectacular, candid moments!
The Bells at Killcare gardens almost beamed under the sunshine as guests enjoyed each other's company; some even playing a spot of Boules! The laughter mixed joyfully with the sounds of the band and water features.
As storytellers, we capture so much more than just people interacting, we also capture the narrative behind every couple's union. One example: we filmed photographs featuring Simone's late father, along with the accompanying sign: “We know you would be here today if heaven wasn't so far”.
During the speeches, Trent proclaimed that he's, “The luckiest guy in the world”, that he “loves Simone to death”. Simone reciprocated, acknowledging that she cherishes the way Trent loves her, flaws and all! “Every single day that we're together I love him more and more and more.”
After cutting the three-tiered cake and dancing the night away, the guests formed a guard of honour, holding sparklers as the happy couple walked into the night, and toward their new life as a married couple.
At the end of the evening we enjoyed taking some exquisite timelapse cinematography. The stars and clouds moved overhead and the lights from Bells at Killcare shone brightly.
From all of us at Marry Me Movies, we wish Simone and Trent a happy future, and thank them for the honour of capturing their priceless wedding day story.
