Wedding videography in Melbourne is a blissful event for everyone involved, especially us lucky wedding cinematographers!
Some say Melbourne is the cultural capital of Australia, and if Elodie & David's reception venue is anything to go by, they'd be right! Elodie and David were married at the stunning artist retreat/wedding venue, Montsalvat in Eltham, near central Melbourne.
Elodie had lots of loving helpers to assist with zipping, clipping, combing and caring. Amidst all the finery, one of the most dazzling accessories was Elodie's smile!
David also had help getting ready. From his bow tie to pre-wedding tipple, he was looked after! There was only one thing left to do, get married…
Elodie was the picture of radiance as she walked down the aisle on the arm of her father. Guests blew bubbles, which gracefully flitted and flew around her.
The interior of many Melbourne wedding venues is architecturally exquisite. This is especially the case at Montsalvat, with its ornate, white arched windows. The windows provided the perfect background for the perfect…
By candlelight they signed their papers…
By natural light, they walked outside as husband and wife.
As lights dazzled and sparkled upon them, Elodie and David joyously burst into the Montsalvat reception hall.
Their reception included beautiful speeches, with the most touching of all coming from David: “You mean everything to me and I can't wait to start the next chapter of our lives together. Thank you for being such a loving and supportive partner. Words cannot describe how special it feels to call you my wife”.
Aside from traditional moments such as cutting the cake and having the first dance…
The guests were treated to professional dancers, before getting up and enjoying some dancing themselves!
We receive a lot of glowing feedback about many aspects of our wedding videography and cinematography, but we receive the most feedback about the candid nature of our filming. We stand in the background capturing moments as they happen, rather than artificially creating them. In our eyes, this is your day. It's not for us to direct or orchestrate, it's simply for us to film in a cinematic way.
We enjoyed capturing many candid moments from Elodie and David's wedding. Whether they were sharing a tender moment in the venue or enjoying a gentle dance in the loft, we were there in the background, ready to film.
Given the wedding location is also a big part of a couple's day, we cinematically capture its essence and features in order to be remembered for all time.
Montsalvat oozes charm, culture and distinction. Located just 35 minutes from central Melbourne in Eltham, it's Australia's oldest artists' community – founded way back in 1934. The Great Hall is built from mudstone which was unearthed during excavation, and several other building materials were sourced from builders' yards across Melbourne.
We'd like to convey our sincere thanks to Elodie and David for allowing us to film their wedding. It was a great pleasure! We wish you continued happiness and joy in the next chapter of your life.
If you live in Melbourne, or anywhere else in Australia, we'd love to talk to you about cinematically capturing your special day. Like others, you may be drawn to our candid filming style, or perhaps a different reason?
